Entr'acte

Well, we are back! After a long and painful separation, my computer and I have been reunited! So much has happened since I last wrote that I don't know where to start. You would think that after so much time had passed that I would be gushing with things to say! But alas, very little is coming to my mind.

I have been without my computer since Oct, which was about the time that my friends Neil and Sarah moved back to Ripon. It was quite a bit of fun getting things ready for their move. They arrived on the 31st, I unfortunately had to work that evening and could not help them move in. However I was able to help clean and decorate along with Sarah's mom and my friend Veronica. The house is located in the older part of Ripon where the trees create a canopy over the street, and the houses are full of character. It was a fun morning! And it is great to be able to spend time with great friends!

Even though, October leads into November and both are symbolized with reds, oranges, browns and yellows.... it seems to take a bit longer for fall to catch up to us in Ripon. November brought on the realization that me "little" brother was once again a year older and even taller than ever. Sadly, I will be the
short one in my family. Thanksgiving
rolled around, my morning was spent at work, however I was able to rush home to have a dinner with my family and not have to do any of the work!

We are now in December and I am reminded of how fast time flies. And of how much I take for granted in my day to day life. I realize that there were many things I did, and fun times but that because I didn't reflect deeply on the special things, I have lost some of the joy. So now I resolve to reflect on those unique times... for example the wonderful thing we call weather. Ripon was given an unusual cold snap that was timed perfectly with some precipitation resulting in some very unusual "snow".

I say "snow" because the were no puffy drifts to plop in, no piles to scoop up and give fingers that numbing chill. I says "snow" because white stuff fell out of the sky and it sure was not hail.

So, now you know what happened in my lengthy computer absence. Now it is time to get ready for Christmas, so much to do, so little time! I mean, the church Sunday school has already performed their Christmas program, as has the local Messiah performance taken place. Hopefully it doesn't go by too fast that I forget
.
