Well, I blame the holiday season. That is why I have not posted in so long I has just been on get together or another or work work work . It hardly seems that I have had a spare moment in so long. This year we had thanksgiving at my Aunt Ginger's house. We had a great dinner with to much good food. We played games, and sat around chatting. I did get a few photos of my dad playing around with my cousin Kurt's little girls. All in all it was a great time.
After a great time enjoying the company of family, Ashley and I went home and I decided that it was time to hull out the Christmas decor. This year is the first Christmas that I will have not living at my parent's house, and the first that Ashley will have in her new house. So, of course we were both excited to decorate. I think we did a pretty darn good job on a small budget if I say so myself. Our tree was given to us which was nice, however, I would say that even though it is fake, it drops needles worse than a real tree.
( the little pile down below the tree are all needles that fell off as I was setting it up).
And here it is all done!
I have started a project.... I am taking one photo a day for a year. It was something I came across on a blog one time and thought it seemed like a cool idea. So, I started on my birthday and here are a few that I have done so far.
As a birthday gift to me Ashley bought tickets to a Straight-no-chaser concert. This time they sang some of their Christmas music. It was so much fun! Ashley scored awesome tickets (we were in the 7th row!) I hardly had to zoom at all!
Things have not all be fine and dandy lately. We have had some electrical issues in our house. At the oddest times our power would go out and then a little while later it would go back on. Well, we finally figured out why.... we had exposed wires on the side of our house. As you can see in the photo below, whenever it got damp or rainy the moisture would get into the wires resulting in temporary loss of power.
Well, PG & E came last Saturday and fixed it right up! No more exposed wires because of this type of weather.
To continue with Christmas decorations here are a few shots of the lights on the outside of our house that I put up all by myself.
Well, it is Christmas eve, just a few more hours of work and a wonderfully fun weekend will start! I wish everyone a safe, happy and wonderful Christmas! Celebrate! Jesus was born for you and me!!!
